Connecting Klaviyo with Brij using OAuth allows you to sync customer data, automate email and SMS list building, and personalize marketing campaigns with minimal friction. Here’s a complete walkthrough

- A Klaviyo account with admin-level access
- Access to your Brij Brand Dashboard
🛠 Step-by-Step Guide
1. Go to Brij Automations
- Visit: https://v2.brij.it
- Click on "Automations" tab and then click "New Automation"
2. Begin Klaviyo OAuth Setup
- Select "Klaviyo" as ****integration type and click "Next"
3. Authenticate With Klaviyo
- Under the dropdown, click "Select an option" → "New Authentication"
- Click the dropdown again to set an auth method, and choose "oauth2"
- Name the connection, e.g., Klaviyo OAuth Demo
- Click "Connect”
➡️ You will be redirected to Klaviyo’s authorization screen.

It is here to remind you to only install the app when starting the process from the Brij platform, and not using a link found on the internet.
🔐 What Happens When You Click "Allow" on Klaviyo
You're granting Brij specific permissions via OAuth. Here’s what those permissions include:

| Read/Write Lists & Segments | Add users to targeted lists based on form data and SMS opt-ins |
| Read Profiles | Retrieve user data like email, phone, and attributes |
| Write Profiles | Sync form responses, reviews, SMS flags directly into Klaviyo profiles |
| Read Account Metadata | Identify connected account for verification and UI display |
By clicking "Allow", you are enabling Brij to perform these actions securely through the Klaviyo API. These are essential for powering real-time automations.
Once done:
- You’ll be redirected back to Brij
- Click "Save"
- Click "Next"
⚙️ Configure Automation
- Choose the action "Add users to list" and enter the desired List ID (found in Klaviyo).
- If you leave this blank, we will generate a new list for you since all profiles must be added to at least one list.
- Enable the "SMS Single Opt-In" checkbox and specify the SMS List ID (this is mandatory if you want to capture SMS subscribers)
- (Recommended) Enhance the automation by:
- Mapping form data as key-value pairs
- Mapping review data as key-value pairs
Click "Save & Activate", and then "Save & Live" to make your automation go live

Seeing Brij Data in Klaviyo
Access Brij Data in Klaviyo
- Log in to Klaviyo.
- Navigate to the side menu and select "Audience," then expand the menu.
- Click on "Lists & Segments."
- Select the list named “brij_customers”.
- Click a customer’s email address to open their customer profile.
- On the right-hand side of the screen you can view all Brij events for that customer.
- Expand each event to view all data from that event. Event properties can be used for segmentation or automations within Klaviyo.

Configuring Opt-in Settings for Marketing Communications
In order to ensure that contacts from Brij are subscribed to email marketing, it's crucial to ensure your default opt-in settings are set to ‘single opt-in’. If the API is set to ‘Double opt-in’, customers who sign up through Brij will need to confirm opt-in before you will be able to send them marketing emails. Here are the steps to adjust your settings:
- Go to the Klaviyo dashboard. Click on the account 'logo' at the bottom of the screen, then navigate to 'Settings'.
- Locate the 'API keys' tab and scroll to Default opt-in settings' option.
- Select ‘Single Opt-in’.
- Click Save.
