VIDEO WALKTHROUGH (60 seconds)
This article walks you through the 3 steps to connect your Google Ads account to Brij:
- Finding your Google Ads customer ID
- Sending it to your Brij CS rep
- Accepting Brij's Manager Account (MCC) access request.
Once connected, Brij can help measure campaign performance and configure conversions — with no ongoing work required on your end.
Why integrate Brij with Google?
- Better measurement: Let Brij send verified offline, retail, and marketplace purchases into Google Ads so your campaigns optimize on total sales.
- Conversion setup: Enable Brij to configure conversions and collect the data needed to report on campaign impact.
- Hands-off setup: After you grant access, Brij's team handles the rest of the configuration.
Step 1: Find Your Google Ads Customer ID
- Sign in to your Google Ads account.
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Your customer ID will be listed under your account name.
- For Manager accounts, click the down arrow next to the MCC account name in the top left corner. The customer ID will be displayed under the drop-down arrow near the name of the MCC account.
- You can also find your customer ID in previous Google Ads emails or billing statements, or in the payment profile linked to your account.
Step 2: Send Your Customer ID to Your Brij Account Manager
Share the customer ID from Step 1 with your Brij Account Manager or in the Brij Signal Onboarding portal.
Step 3: Accept Brij's Manager Account Access Request
Brij links to your Google Ads account through a Manager Account (MCC) request. Accepting it gives Brij visibility into your ad account so we can help measure performance and configure conversions to collect data.
Note: You'll need Administrative access to your Google Ads account to complete these steps.
- Access the Managers menu here: https://ads.google.com/aw/accountaccess/managers. Make sure you're in the correct Google Ads account. If you manage more than one account, you will be prompted to pick one or you can switch between them using the account selector in the header.
- You'll see a pending request from Brij. Confirm it's the right one by checking the Manager Account ID — Brij's ends in 9244 — or the @brij.it email associated with the request.
- Under the Actions column, click Accept.
If you get an error that stops you from accepting, it is likely because you've already approved a different MCC (maybe your ad agency). If this happens, reach out to your Brij account manager for help on how to share access a different way.
Note: Additional approval may be required
Depending on your account’s security requirements, Google may require a second administrator to approve the request, or that you create a Passkey in your Google Ads account.
If this happens, another admin should navigate to Admin > Access and security > Multi-Party Approvals and approve the pending request. If you run into the Passkey requirement, click here to see various passkey options within Google.
Google also sends notifications to eligible administrators when additional approval is needed. Pending requests expire after 20 days if not approved.
You're done! Once accepted, Brij's Manager Account will show as linked, and our team will handle the rest of the setup on our side.
FAQ
What access does Brij get to my Google Ads account?
Brij links via a Manager Account (MCC) so we can measure campaign performance and configure conversions to collect data. Our team handles setup on our side.
Do I need special permissions to accept the request?
Yes — you'll need Administrative access to your Google Ads account to accept the Manager Account request.
How do I know the request is really from Brij?
Confirm the Manager Account ID ends in 9244, or that the request is associated with an @brij.it email address.
Do I need anything enabled before connecting Google Ads?
Yes — your brand must have Brij Signal enabled to integrate with Google Ads. If you're unsure whether you have access, submit a ticket and our team will confirm.
Why is Google asking for another administrator to approve the request?
Google’s Multi-Party Approvals feature requires an additional administrator to approve certain account changes, including Manager Account linking requests.
This generally applies to accounts with more than three administrators. If prompted, another admin can review and approve the request under Admin > Access and security > Multi-Party Approvals.
