Introduction:
This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide on setting up automation to transmit user events from the Brij Consumer to Klaviyo. By enabling this, you can trigger targeted marketing campaigns based on real user actions, which can significantly enhance engagement and conversion rates. This guide is specifically focused on Klaviyo integration.
Instructions:
Enter Automation Details
- In the side menu of your Brij dashboard, click on the ‘Automations’ tab.
- Click the ‘New Automation’ button and enter the ‘Automation Name’.
- Next, click on the ‘Authentication’ tab. You will need a Klaviyo API key.
- Select the ‘Authentication’ drop-down and choose ‘New Authentication’.
- Enter your Klaviyo API key and click ‘Next’.
- Open the ‘Filters’ tab.
- Use the drop-down menu to select or deselect the experiences to which this automation will apply. For each selected experience, associated events will be sent to Klaviyo and click next.
- In the ‘Action’ tab, enter the ‘Action Name’.Select ‘Klaviyo Integration’ from the drop-down menu, choose the appropriate version and click ‘Next’ to continue.
Define Events and Sub-Events
- You will see initiation events like ‘Brij Submission’, ‘Registration Approval’, ‘Form Submission’, and ‘Review Submission’.
- You can edit the event titles using the edit icon. For example, rename ‘Location City’ to ‘Resident City’.Optionally, select or deselect specific sub-events, such as device data. Unchecked sub-events will not be transmitted to Klaviyo.
- Each form submission event includes data like the ‘Form Module Name’ and associated questions and answers.These events are triggered whenever a form is submitted.
- The ‘Brij Submission Event’ includes all review questions and their corresponding answers. After reviewing, click ‘Next’.
Configure Automation Settings
- In the ‘Configuration’ tab, decide whether to add users to a list. Select ‘Yes’ if you have a specific list in Klaviyo. Enter the ‘Klaviyo List ID’ if you have one, or leave it empty to create a new list titled ‘Brij Customers’.
- Choose whether to enable ‘SMS Single Opt-In’.
- Specify whether to pause automation after a certain number of failures.
- Specify the failure count threshold and set up notifications for event failures by providing an email address.
Note: The automation is now active, with ‘zero’ invocations initially indicating that no events have been triggered yet.
Viewing Brij Customers in Klaviyo
- Log into your Klaviyo account, navigate to ‘Audience’, and select ‘Lists and Segments’.
- You should see a new list titled ‘Brij Customers’. Clicking on a profile will show all related events, including initiation, review submission, registration, and approval.
