Welcome to Brij! Getting started with Brij is a quick and easy process. This document will outline the key steps and consideration for you to make when setting up your Brij account for the first time. To go deeper into any one area, you can access the Brij Knowledge Center or contact Brij Support for additional information.
Below outlines the key steps and requirements for preparing Brij for your first Experience:
- Brij Shopify App Installation
- Accept Billing Subscription & Confirm Billing Point of Contact
- Assign a Brij Primary Day-to-Day Owner, and Secondary Owners
- Provide Brij with API Keys for Respective Integrations
- Set Up Custom Domain (Pro & Enterprise Plans Only)
- Account Configuration (Branding)
- Clearly Identify QR Code(s) and/or Short Link(s) Distribution and Placement

Brij App Installation
For Shopify Users: Sign in to your Shopify account and visit the Brij app installation page. Click the 'Install' button, then follow the prompts to complete the installation process. After the account is created, anyone on your team that has access to Shopify will be able to access the Brij app. See a more detailed Shopify App Install Guide here.
For Non-Shopify Users: You will be sent an invitation link to access the Brij Web App. Each user will require a separate log in to be created. Please provide Brij with all user emails that will need access.
Once installed, you will be asked to include some information about yourself such as your Name and Email. You will also be asked to select your main objectives with Brij and accept our terms and conditions.

Accept Billing
For Shopify Users: After you download the Brij app and are logged in, a banner will be displayed at the top of the screen to ‘Accept Billing Terms’. Please review and accept promptly.
All Users: Prior to Kick Off, please also confirm and share your billing main point of contact with the Brij team.
Assign a Brij Day to Day Owner
Although Brij makes it quick on our end to get up and running, we have found it best for you to choose a Primary Brij Owner to be the main liaison with the Brij team. This person will be responsible for gathering the brand’s required inputs and securing final approvals when necessary. Please be prepared to identify this contact during your Kick Off call.
API Keys & Integrations
Brij highly encourages brands to integrate their eCommerce platform and CRMs with Brij. These integrations allow for a push/pull between our platforms and the most seamless experience.
CRM Integration (Klaviyo): If you are on Klaviyo, provide Brij with Admin Access and your API Keys to help you configure. All plans include a Basic Integration that sends registered customers details (i.e. email, SMS) directly to your Klaviyo account in real-time. You will be able to identify these customers tagged as Brij. An Advanced Integration allows you to take it a step further by creating custom flows through Brij’s Forms & Surveys feature based on additional tags (i.e. place of purchase). Please inquire with the Brij team to understand if Advanced Integration is included in your plan. CRM Integration (Other): If you use an alternative CRM platform, there are two additional ways that you can integrate with Brij to pass back trigger events:
- Shopify Users: If you are using Brij through Shopify, and your CRM is integrated with Shopify, you can capitalize off the Brij > Shopify integration as a passthrough to your CRM
- Non-Shopify Users may configure a Webhook to integrate your CRM. Please connect directly with Brij to understand feasibility and next steps.
If neither of the above are feasible, a CSV export is available from the Brij platform to upload data to your platform.
Set Up Custom Domains
Pro & Enterprise Plans Only: A custom domain allows you to host Brij experiences—like product registration, rebates, etc.—on a branded URL such as https://register.brandname.com instead of the Brij domain (i.e. https://brij.it/c/GZGW). If you intend to set up a Custom Domain for your Brij Codes, this step is important to be completed before a Brij QR Code or short link is generated. A common example brands use is ‘register.brand.com’. Access the link to learn more about setting up custom domains. Please provide Brij with this domain as soon as possible. Once provided, the Brij team will verify and may take up to 24 hours.
Account Configuration
Brand Logo: Add your Brand Name, Website URL and Primary logo to be used in your Brij experiences. Don’t worry though, you will have an opportunity later to add alternative logos to your profile or make changes.
Brand Colors: Next, select your Brand Colors to be used across all your Brij experiences. Select a Primary, Secondary and Background color by selecting from the color scale or adding the hex-code (e.g., #000000). Some Brij plans may include Advanced Branding Features.
Socials: Connect your key social accounts. These links can be included at the bottom of your Brij experiences. Three (3) is the optimal but you can add up to five (5).
Through the Settings tab (⚙) on the lower left side of the dashboard, you will be able to access additional settings to customize your Brij experience to your brand:
Fonts: Select front a variety of font styles to align with your branding.
QR Codes: Tailor the design of your QR code by selecting from various dot styles, corner styles, and corner-dot styles. You may also adjust the color palette of the code. You have the option to further customize your QR Code by uploading you brand logo or image to be placed in the center of the code. Please be advised that this is not the preferred method as sometimes users can experience challenges scanning.
Button Styles: Choose from three (3) button styles: Large Corner Radius, Small Corner Radius or No Corner Radius (Square).
QR Code/Links Distribution & Placement
One of the most critical steps when executing a Brij experience is following the Best Practices for placing and distributing your QR Codes and/or Short Links. In general you want to have:
- Clear and concise CTA - i.e. Scan to register your warranty, Scan for 20% off
- Minimize text around the code
- Clear contrast from background
- Distinguished placement on package
- Large QR Code ->No smaller than .75” x .75”
- Multiple distribution placements
Brij strongly recommends you generate and utilize Brij QR Codes and Short Links for your experiences however we understand timing and resources around package refreshes are not always viable. The good news is that you can redirect any existing QR codes to Brij.
